Built from the ground up, this space is for those seeking a deeper connection to nature, themselves, and the world around them.
I’m Jeremy, and I’ve been building this space to invite you on a journey of transformation. It’s still unfolding, and we’re taking it step by step, grounded in nature’s wisdom. The Næss is more than just a retreat; it’s a place where you can reconnect with yourself, others, and the natural world. As I continue to shape this space, my intention is to offer a sanctuary for personal growth, healing, and connection. I’d love for you to be part of this evolving journey. Together, we’ll create something truly transformative.

The Næss is a place for learning that moves inward: into soil, into story, into the quiet parts of ourselves. It sits in the hills of central Portugal, shaped slowly by hand and by the seasons.
Throughout the year, I welcome others here to guide retreats, workshops, and longer immersions. These gatherings explore the kinds of change that matter most: in how we grow food, relate to land, live together, care for our bodies, and listen to the more-than-human world.
The threads of permaculture, systems thinking, herbal medicine, spiritual ecology, right livelihood, regenerative economics, yoga, and community practice all offer ways to live in deeper rhythm with the world around us.
All of it rests in the belief that when we come back into relationship with nature, with each other, with our own inner life something in us starts to realign. From there, new ways forward begin to take shape.
Upcoming Retreats and Programs
Our retreats and programs are shaped by the land, the season, and the people who come. They’re spaces to reconnect with yourself, with others, and with the natural world. Whether you’re navigating change, curious about new practices, or simply needing time out from the noise, you’re welcome to come as you are. There’s no pressure to be anything else.
What People Say
About The Næss
The Næss is a quiet place I’ve made for people who want to step away from the noise for a while—into something slower, more grounded, more alive.
It’s named after Arne Næss, the Norwegian philosopher who gave language to something I’ve always felt: that we are not separate from the natural world, but part of it. When we forget this, we suffer. When we remember, something begins to heal. Whether you’re coming to rest, to listen more deeply, or to be in good company with others on a similar path, you’ll find a gentle rhythm here. Groups are small, for now just 14 of us at a time—so there’s space to breathe, to feel, to find your own pace. You can sleep in a simple room, or under the stars if that calls you.
The work we offer is rooted in deep ecology, nature-based practice, and shared inquiry. Some of it comes through teaching, some through stillness, and some simply by being here.
What matters most is that something in you has space to soften—and maybe remember itself again.
